You decide what’s best for you. If you are reading my profile then maybe you are deciding to take a chance and meet your needs in a more effective way. Perhaps you keep slipping into a bad mood following certain events in your life. Or you may be simply tired of the way things are and yet no matter how hard you try you continue to fail. Maybe you just need someone who can listen to you and acknowledge how your life is right now.

I am a psychotherapist and I offer both online and face-to-face therapy sessions. I will be happy to support you in a way that feels comfortable for you.

What to expect

Our first session we will be about you and what has brought you to therapy. Many people come to therapy to feel better. While this is the best outcome you will find that therapy helps you in other ways too. You will get in touch with negative thinking patterns that may be feeding feelings of sadness, depression or anxiety. Therapy will also help you to recognize behaviours that may be contributing to trouble in your relationships. You will learn effective ways of communicating and clear the way for authentic relations with the people in your life who may be causing you emotional pain.

About me

For the past twenty years I have worked within the field of psycho-education. I started off my career as a Teacher of Personal and Social Development, a role that enables me to facilitate dialogue between individuals. I broadened my outreach to the wider community by initiating and coordinating projects that promote skills development, interfaith discourse and cultural diversity. I believe that when people come together good things happen. As Gestalt Psychotherapist I use this human connection as a tool for healing. I see clients who need to work on issues relating to relationships and family. Presently I provide therapy within the public sector as well as in my private practice.

When I’m not providing therapy, I enjoy spending time in nature. I also cherish my time in the kitchen where I enjoy cooking using a different blend of spices. I strongly believe that laughter is medicine for the soul, and so I value light hearted times and conversations with loved ones.
